『The 2nd best Christmas Comedy』
This is my father's personal favorite Christmas movie (should that scare you?). National Lampoon's comedies are full of bad jokes and stupid pranks, but I find this movie to actually be quite tasteful. Sure, there's the usual silly situations (which are hilarious), but all in all it is remarkably subtle (okay, not quite subtle). Chevy Chase plays a father who loves Christmas and goes out of his way to always make it the best time possible. Unfortunately, the neighbours (one is the Elaine character from Seinfeld) find him to be a nuissance. His dream is to have a pool and he is making that the Christmas present for the family, but it all rides on the Christmas bonus. Wacky relatives arrive and crazy situations abound. It's not your typical Christmas movie, but it is definitely one of the funniest.
